Suggested prerequisites: The basic knowledge of circuit theory.
Aims: Based on a “Learning by doing” approach, the scope of the course is supplying the students with the basic knowledge for designing an electronic system.
Contents: o Modularity of an electronic system. Division into functional blocks. Interfacing between blocks.
o Available technologies and selection parameters.
o Amplification and filter blocks.
o Structures for information processing. Elementary architectures of microprocessors and microcontrollers.
o Microcontrollers: functions, architectures, methodologies and programming tools.
