Suggested prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Mathematics, Physics, Strength of metal materials; Fundamental of metal mechanical behaviour.
Aims: To provide both competences about innovative manufacturing processes and tools necessary to design these manufacturing processes.
Contents: Composite Materials: mechanical behaviour of FRP, micromechanical and macromechanical models, introduction to the laminate design. Composites Manufacturing Techniques: Manufacturing Process Selection Criteria; design of manufacturing and cure processes. robotic manufacturing processes (RFW, RTP, etc.); Product quality (Standard Test Method & Non Destructive Tests). Additive manufacturing processes: manufacturing basis; Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), Selective Laser Sintering (SLS); Electron Beam Melting (EBM). LASER Processes: manufacturing systems and process parameters optimization.
